Terms of Service & Clinical/PRIVACY Policies

Please take a moment to review the following terms of service, clinic policies, and privacy practices. These guidelines are here to foster clarity, trust, and mutual respect in our therapeutic relationship. By receiving care at Red Leaf Acupuncture, you acknowledge and agree to these terms as part of your treatment experience. 

• Scheduling: All appointments can be booked online or by phone. A valid credit card is required to reserve your session.  
• Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time out of consideration for the next patient. Full fees apply. 

• 24-Hour Notice Required: Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours in advance. 
• Late Cancellations/No-Shows: Appointments canceled within 24 hours of your scheduled time or missed without notice will incur a $50 late cancellation fee. 

• Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and mobile payments. 
• We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide a superbill for reimbursement if your plan covers out-of-network acupuncture. 

• Please do not come to your appointment if you are experiencing cold, flu, or COVID-like symptoms. We’re happy to reschedule you with no penalty if you're unwell. 
• All needles are sterile, single-use, and safely disposed of after each treatment. 

• Herbal formulas are customized and dispensed only after a thorough consultation. Prices vary by formula. 
• Herbal sales are final once dispensed and are not eligible for return. 

• We are available by phone, text, and email during business hours. Please allow 24–48 hours for non-urgent responses.
• For emergencies, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. 

• All sales of herbal formulas, gift cards, and treatment packages are final. If you have concerns about a product, please contact us within 7 days of purchase. 

• We welcome patients of all ages. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for their first visit, and a consent form must be signed. 

• Red Leaf Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine provides Traditional Chinese Medicine services including acupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine, and lifestyle counseling. We do not provide Western medical diagnosis or emergency care. 

• While we may confirm appointments or respond to questions via text or email, please do not send confidential health information through these channels. For privacy, detailed clinical questions should be discussed during appointments. 

• To maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries, we do not discuss personal health concerns via social media. If you choose to leave a review or testimonial, please know that your name may be visible publicly. 

• Some treatments such as cupping, gua sha, or moxibustion may leave temporary marks or mild discomfort. These are normal healing responses, but we ask that you inform us of any special sensitivities. 

• We may occasionally take photos or videos for educational or promotional purposes—with your explicit verbal or written consent. You are never obligated to be featured. 

• Red Leaf Acupuncture maintains a professional and safe space for healing. Any inappropriate, aggressive, or disrespectful behavior will result in immediate termination of the session and possible dismissal from the clinic. 

• Packages and gift cards are non-refundable and must be used within 12 months of purchase unless otherwise specified. Discounts or promotions cannot be applied retroactively. 

• Red Leaf Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine reserves the right to modify these clinic policies at any time, without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the most current version.
